Description

Cappadocia is a fairy tale… It's like a film stage, constructed by nature with great patience over 25 million years… The forms are as if they were made by fairies…The locals called these beautiful formations “fairy chimneys". This geography was one the first centers of Christianity and a home for many civilizations, from the Assurians to the Ottomans, from the Hittites to the Greeks. In the heart of Anatolia lies Cappadocia; it has carried those coming from the east to the west and those coming from the west to the east. The heroes of this fairy tale are the fairy chimneys. The only way of discovering and getting lost in the forms of these fairy chimneys, seeing the hidden churches and the monk cells carved in the rocks, is by walking Cappadocia.
